Flock with Amira Hashish & Hypnos beds

We were approached by the wonderful Amira Hashish, digital features editor at the Evening Standard, to produce some bold and graphic fabrics for a very exciting brief. Amira had partnered with expert traditional bed manufacturers Hypnos to design a signature collection of beds that encapsulated the importance and art of sleep. Wanting to place the focus of this new range on young British designers, Amria approached us to create the fabric for one of her bed designs- The Swan, which was to be a reflection of the monochrome, geometric trend. 

Talented Flock designer Angela Jane Johnston immediately set to work creating some bold and beautiful fabrics to fit the brief and after much sampling and playing around with scale and direction of pattern, Amira settled on one of these patterns that was the perfect fit for the Hypnos Divan bed. The Swan bed was then finished beautifully with lovely little details such as neat black and gold feet and sumptuous grey velvet piping.

It has been fanatasic to work on this project with Amira and Hypnos who have been traditionally hand making wonderfully comfortable beds for over 100 years and so it was great fun to be able to produce such a modern headboard for their collection that showed off the skill and possibility of digital technologies.
